Continuing Education Made Easy

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # CEP 14008, for 31.2 Contact Hours.

In accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Sections 2540.2(b) for licensed vocational nurses and 2592.2(b) for psychiatric technicians, these courses are accepted by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians for continuing education credit. These courses meet the qualifications of the Board of Registered Nursing and the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians rules and regulations for continuing education courses for registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses and psychiatric technicians.

Registered nurses, in the state of California, are required by law (Section 1451, Article 5, of the California Code of Regulations) to complete thirty (30) hours of continuing education every two years to maintain an active license; all thirty (30) contact hours may be completed through home-study courses.

Section 2540.1, Article 7, of the California Code of Regulations indicates, "Each (licensed vocational nurse) licensee renewing a license under Section 2892 of the code shall submit proof of having completed, during the preceding two years, thirty (30) hours of continuing education..." _All thirty (30) contact hours may be completed through home-study courses.

Section 2592.1, Article 7, of the California Code of Regulations indicates, "Each (psychiatric technician) licensee renewing a license under Section 4544 of the code shall submit proof of having completed, during the preceding two years, thirty (30) hours of continuing education..." _All thirty (30) contact hours may be completed through home-study courses.

HOW OUR SERVICE WORKS

1. Read the course(s) of your choice either in the booklet, or online by clicking the "California Nurse Courses" link. The booklet and online courses are identical.
2. Transfer your test answers to the online Answer Sheet and print your certificate by clicking the "California Nurse Answer Sheet" link and following the prompts.

To Send by e-mail:
The Answer Sheet will be sent via e-mail after you click the "Submit" button on the Answer Sheet. You can also print the Answer Sheet and send via fax or mail.

To Send by Mail:
Mail the completed Answer Sheet with a check (payable to Continuing Psychology Education) or credit card information to:

To Send by Fax:
Fax the completed Answer Sheet, including your credit card information, to Continuing Psychology Education Inc. at Fax # 1-858-272-5809.

Upon receipt, Continuing Psychology Education Inc. will promptly return your Certificates of Completion by mail, fax or e-mail. We will fax your Certificates of Completion at no additional charge, simply check the box and include your fax number on the Answer Sheet.

TOTAL COST: $39.95 for all four courses (30 contact hours)
or $10.95 per individual course.

CERTIFICATE RETURN TIME: Certificates of Completion are promptly returned to you by first class mail, e-mail or by fax at your request. If you do not pass with a grade of 70% or better, then you will be asked to re-take the test, at no additional charge.

ONLINE COMPLETION: To complete the course(s) of your choice, simply complete the Answer Sheet (click the "California Nurse Answer Sheet" link on the Home Page and click, pencil or pen your answers), then fax, mail, or e-mail the Answer Sheet to us. These online courses are completely identical to the booklet courses you received in the mail. You may choose to receive your Certificates of Completion online immediately, or later, by fax or mail.
